These guys are just emerging, they'll stay clustered like this for a week or two until they're absorbed all their yolk.

I also have a clutch, maybe two, of A.f.niger this year.
 
Its amazing to see these animals. your lucky. i doubt ill ever see any salamanders in this genus up close.
 
Why not sirus? You live in Kentucky, where there are plenty of A. aeneus (arguably the best Aneides!).
