Another one of my tanks

hello, here is my 55 gal. r.e.s. tank

and here are the inhabitants

this is what i call my moat fish

Is this fish a Polypterus / Bichir? Do the fish and the turtles get along well?

yes it is a bichir. yes they get along.the birchir is very aggresive. there are also feeder guppies in the tank that they all eat.

I am certainly no authority on turtles however I think that it is only a matter of time before those sliders attack the bichir. Great fish btw.

I agree with Chip, I have 4 red-ears myself and they will relentlessly chase anything that remotely resembles food until they get it.

I NEVER put a Poly with in with anything, They can get up to 17 inch's, depending on the type, and get blasted nasty.

I do not know what type it is, he does grow quick. He does have an attitude. but the turtles dont bother him and he dont bother them. Some times they seem to sleep together.Its realy neat to watch him eat, tears night crawlers apart.
