Hello, I was just wondering if any of you guys are willing to give me some ideas on tree frog tadpoles. I just got them but I'm more of the expert with the actual frogs than tadpoles. I have them living with my salamanders and they get along pretty well. So if you know a lot about tadpoles please inform me if I need to change things, put more habitat, etc.

The salamander larvae will eventually start to attack the tree frog tadpoles As they are usually carnivorous What type of salamander and tree frogs are they? There are many species so You need more specific details. assuming These are vegetarian tree frog tadpoles you can Lightly boil organic baby spinach to feed the tadpoles. Generally a bad idea to keep diff. Species together

I also keep adult long toed salamanders. I tried to see how they do in the water I put for the adults in their tank and they loved it. Once I put the tadpoles in that water for a test they tucked into the mud and now I can't find them lol. So now I guess their living with the adults.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
