Any ideas

I caught a small newt/sally in a slight swift stream it was very small still had its gills and the tail faned out at the very end It was a molty brown color with a light brown belly any ideas what it couldnt have been.
 
its impossible to guess without knowing the area you got it(state)

it would also help if you told us the length, and count the number of toes on the front and hind feet
 
I live in central tennessee. I let it go shortly after but i do have a pic but probly wont be very helpful. not sure how to creat a url for the pics
 
You can add the picture to your post.
When you write your post, scroll down to the next block, "Additional Options," and click on "manage attachments." It'll take you through ("Browse"), just make sure your pictures don't exceed the limits you see written there. Once they're uploaded, you can click on "preview post" to make sure you have them the way you want, then click on "Submit reply," and your picture will be in your post!

Ok these are pretty bad but its the best i can do with a camria phone

Well....good job uploading the pics!
But unfortunately I think they're too blurry for any kind of ID.
