I am really interested in breeding my T.shanjing but would like some advice from others who have done so. Like how to stimulate them to breed, like temperatures, ect.... I would like to know so I am prepared as best as I can be. Thank you,

Keep them dry in the winter with low temparture(not below 5 celcius!)
Thats the biggest trigger!

Thanks. SO I guess when spring comes along raise the temp and mist like crazy. . . ? ?

Yep,around May you begin so you have the moist(?) on 100% or almost 100% on the end of it.

Yep. Cool dry winter, warm wet spring. In the wild T.Shanjing breeds during the monsoon. If you have a water dish in your tank try keeping the water level low in the winter, one centimetre. In the spring the use of a rain chamber can be useful but not necessary. As long as the temperature rises and it becomes significantly wetter, your newts should get the clue. Happy breeding!:D

I have found that raising water elevation is a great trigger for getting breeding. It is complimented by the light cycle.

Good Luck!
