Anyone know about "boost protocol" of UVB application to amphibians?

In this paper it is written that

"Improved health and reproduction of amphibians has been widely reported through the "boost protocol" application of high levels of UVB for short periods of hours at long intervals of weeks."

But I can't find any specific article about boost protocol. Dose anyone know anything about this protocol?
I'm struggling to breed colormolph of C.pyrrhogaster.
