Aquarium Sealent question

I was wondering how long i had to wait after using it to put it in the tank. I used aquarium safe sealent to glue some PVc pipes together for some hiding and wanted to know how long to wait cause the bottle says 24-48 hrs.

Hi Amandalyn,

To be safe, i would wait at least for 2 whole days, even 3.

Before putting it in the tank, i would give it a good rinse, check that everything is in order and no residue.

it been 48 hrs do you think its safe if i soak it overnight and put it in tomorrow?

give it til tomorrow, and give it a light rub with a sponge and some warm water, make sure there isnt any sealant hanging off it, and you should be right...

Put it in the tank today and both my axis seem to love it. Sugar was swimming all around it explorin it and Spice just layed there with the attitude of gee whats all the fuss about hasent this always been here LOL
