So, I am looking to expand the aquatic plants that I have in my Axolotl's tank and I was wondering if anybody has tried Jade plants.
If they have, was it a success? Something to be avoided?
What are some other low light options?
Suggestions are appreciated.
This is my first post on caudata and I am very happy to be a member of this site.

Hi! I have never tried jade plant, but I have several other low light options for you! What plants have you got now? I would try amazon sword, java fern, anubias, water sprite, water wisteria, maybe dwarf sag?

I have Amazon Sword, Banana Plant and Christmas Moss for bedding in her hides.
Do you know if Jade Plant would be toxic for Axolotls?
Can't find anything about this online.

I just found this on Youtube :

The Jade plant (Crassula ovata) is not at all an aquatic plant but can be grown with its roots only in the water.
In this example, the tank contains guppies and other fishes.
I've no idea for axolotls.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
