well after all this time i have only 2 that survived to hatch, needless to say i plan on leaving the next batch with the mother
heres a shot of one after it just hatched

here are some side by side shots-the more swollen one is the newer hatched one-its got a bigger yolk, these guys will not eat till the yolk is gone

I wouldn't eat either if my belly was that full! I hope they do well once the yolk is gone.
 
on the average they are a very hardy species, i think they will do fine if they make it past the first month
 
They are beautiful Paris! Even if their are only two.

Keep me updated and I'd like to see how the mom does it herself next year(will she do better?).
 
she did better last time, i had 13 hatch back then.....a lot of learning to do with these, this is only my second breeding, and as far as i have been told these have only been captive bred 4 times, so by sharing this i hope to bypass personal errors for others who may get the chance to breed these in the future.
