they love to hider under cork so that should work, make sure your enclosure is escape proof they are pretty small at first. i would go a head and add springtails now because the babies will eat them along with fruit flies and tiny crickets. Mine grew kind of slowly for a while then they grew a lot suddenly.

Awesome! I was talking to the breeder and he recommended a grow out tank for the time being. :)

good luck mine hide a lot but I think they are awesome anyway. I just really love the way they look and since I am on the east coast it's something different for me. It seems to me like they must be one of the most adaptable of the lungless salamanders and seem to do well in captivity naturally. My girlfriend doesnt understand why I have pets that i rarely see but for me I just like knowing they are there, thriving in their vivariums. Kind of funny because on the opposite end of the spectrum I keep texas alligator lizards which are also arboreal buyt out 99% of the time and wont even move away from me when Im in there cleaning. I can pick them up and they dont care, they move like turtles most of the time unless they are going to grab an insect then you see how fast they really are.

Oh yeah im the same, I keep mostly micro geckos rn and they hide a lot (till nighttime anyway), but its so fun knowing they're thriving.
