Okay, maybe just being a paranoid newby but when i came home one of my little guys was hanging out in a floating plant, being a little paranoid I touched him and he didn't move and them i touched him harder, nothing finally he did take off pretty quick thou... Is this normal? Thanks

Lol, yes, this is normal. Sometimes they won't move for hours, sometimes they swim all night. I think they're not necessarily sleeping, but in a zen-like state. lol. Axolotl Nirvana.

Yeah, mine does that alot, sits there zoned out on his plant.

I have pushed him too with no response for a while.

Just have a laugh as its yet another strange thing that these little fellas do!

I work at a petstore and people always tell me my axies are dead! It gets real old, and almost all of them are grossed out by them.

Like Joan said, it's normal. When mine were small enough, the smallest used to hang out in the center of a plastic plant I had in the tank. (Now they're big and were uprooting it all the time, so I had to take it out.)
