I finally got a good picture of my boy’s gill filaments! for context, i’ve had Akko for about two months, and the store we got him from kept their axolotls in very bad conditions. I believe the other axies in his tank at the store nipped off his gill filaments because he didn’t have any when i got him. two months later, they’re slowly but surely coming back! <3
