Howdy fellow Axolotl lovers,
I have a question concerning Axolotl growth rate. I have a male albino that I've had since October, he's now a little under 5 inches long. I just got (about a week and a half ago) 3 baby axies (they're about an inch each), I'm hoping to put them all together at some point. My question being this: How long will it take until they catch up to my larger one and when are they large enough to be put in with the bigger guy?
Thanks in advance!
Miss

A general rule of thumb is no more than 1" size difference. This rule of thumb doesn't work at the extremes. E.g. a 2" axie thinks 1" axie is snack sized, but two adults may be fine together even with a larger size difference.

You are probably looking at a minimum of 4 months before they can go together. At that time, your new ones will be around 5", maybe. So depending how big your older one gets, they may be ok together or you may have to wait a few more months.
