Axie wont eat

We keep our babies fed well on earth worms, our lady eats almost daily, shes a pig. But our boy won't eat anymore...its been a week or so now. He got kinda picky for a while there and we had to keep switching between live and flash boiled worms, vary the size as well, but now he wont eat them at all. He tries to eat them sometimes and just spits them out after a short bit, but other times he doesnt show interest.

Im afraid hes starving.

Some axolotls are known for randomly going on hunger strikes. My Wildtype sometimes will have days where he just refuses to eat. One of my axolotls years ago would go on hunger strike for about a week or so but would start eating again and would be fine. If he is not losing weight, I would not panic just yet but keep a close eye on him.

But, it is always good to rule out other causes in case it is something more serious. What are the water parameters? Has anything changed? Is he showing any signs of stress?

He is scary skinny, finally got him to eat a half of a medium earth worm...he used to eat the large ones after we flash cooked them..now he barely eats half of a medium one..worried about him. Tank params are normal, its a hyge cycled tank, our other axie eats fine, if not more than normal, we thought maybe thw heat because its summer and the tank has been stable around 70-75 Fahrenheit, but like I said, our other axie is eating normally.

Have you tried offering any alternative food options? If he is losing weight it may be worth just to get some nutrition into him. I would try to lower the temperature if possible. It is on the high side and whilst your other axolotl is eating ok it doesn't rule out temperature being a factor.
