Axol has a really wierd white mark on...

when i first bought axol, he had a really wierd white dot underneath his left gills! at the beginning he didnt even have any gills, because according to the petshop,he has been under attack from other axolotls or something and thats what made me buy it because i felt really sorry about it!!I asked the petshop and gave me some sulphur tablets and added some aquarium salt, but it still didnt go. thank god, his gills has grown back beautifully, but the white mark is still there, can anyone please help me figure out what it is? or has anyone came across it before? thanks a lot.

mine has a spot thats alot brighter/whiter than the rest of it, but its nt as big as that. it looks like its just normal pigmentation. can axoltols get skin cancer? it kina looks like an axoltol version of a melonoma, or a birth mark!

yes maybe, it hasn't gone down since i got him even when i used all the treatments...he eats well so it shouldn't be too bad. thanks shane and if anyone else have another suggestion it would be appreciated if you let us know.

no it hasnt spread or anyhting, but i still worry every time i see it, thanks for your concerns. i will keep an update how it evaluates or see what treatment might work...

yea, i really dont have a clue what it could be. if it was fungus it would of spread by now. so does it just look like normal skin but just white?.

pepper had 1 of them but it stuck out for a while now it's just a mark they get them then they go

Mine has something like just behind his gills but I think it could be fungus. I'm treating him with salt baths and have noticed a small reduction in size.

ours had that - i think its fungus ? we used salt baths
