Hello, I currently have a cycled tank but to get him acclimated after his trip I have him in a tub that I clean daily. I have a mason jar in there with him with pellets and bloodworms and since I've got him he hasn't eaten for 3 days straight now, he's a 5-6in so he's still quite young, I've tried giving him worms but he eats half of them then spits them back out, I think he's scared of them lol
anyways maybe he's still recovering from his trip? idk but I keep his water clean and food in there at all times, does anybody have any ideas?

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
