Hello everyone,
(Sorry if this is in the wrong section, I'm new here) A few days ago, I saw my albino GFP axolotl Zero eat a snail, I was about to stop them but they swallowed it before I could do anything. I think they may have eaten multiple because none of the bigger snails are left, and there used to be 3 or 4. I tried to remove all of the snails before introducing Zero to the tank, but I left in the baby ones and the ones I thought would be too big for them to eat (they weren't). I'm not worried about the baby snails because they have soft shells, but I'm worried the bigger ones Zero ate might cause an impaction. The ones they ate were about 1.5 cm in diameter, and right now Zero is about 16 cm long. Also, the snails seem to have been Ramshorn snails, possibly Leopard Ramshorns. Right now Zero is still eating and doesn't seem to be bloated. Is there anything I should do to make sure my axolotl doesn't get impacted?

ramshorn shells are quite thin and should digest ok, snails are part of an axolotls diet in the wild so there shouldn't be any issues, if concerned continue to monitor for a few days to ensure he/she is eating and defecating ok.

Just an update, Zero seems to be fine so far, they've still been eating and pooping normally. I did spot some fragments of a snail shells that were definitely once part of a shell but weren't whole anymore in the tank after seeing some axolotl poop. They also seemed more fragile than normal. I'm not sure if Zero pooped them out or vomited them back up but I do think they were from the ones they ate.
As for Zero's sex I'm still not sure, I'm suspecting they're a female because the cloaca is more of a small bump, but it's not very pronounced and she's not full sized yet so it's hard to tell.
