Axolotl bleeding

I am the new owner of 2 axolotl. When I got home a while ago the tank had lots of fluffy looking red spots on the floor. Ive been watching them and the red appears to be blood smears coming out of the one`s foot or head area. What do I do, how do I make sure he`s ok??? I have put a divider in the tank now to keep the 2 apart
