I've had my axolotl for about two months now, he's been eating 1 earthworm a day, and swimming around normally until about a week ago. Now he can't keep his back legs and tail down, he's still eating fine, and doesn't appear to be streesed. He's on sand substrate and his tank stays about 75, someone please help.

He could still be eating the sand which puts pressure on the lower back and paralyses the back legs for a short while until everything leaves his or hers system, give him a few days and see if he seems better dont feed him for about 3-4 days (this shoikd be long enough) if he doesnt recover i would take him to a vet

Constipation can also cause this. Has it been pooping normally?

He's still pooping normal, I thought it was okay if he ingested sand? I hope he's alright. :(

This is a classic case of 'floaty bum syndrome' caused by a need to poop. He'll be fine once he's had a good poop, just be patient.

One of my axies had this problem. I was told to massage her tummy gently (under water),and that seemed to do the trick. A lot of air/gas came out of her bum,and she was able to walk normally again. I found out the reason was most likely because she had been eating my pleco's food ( veggie pellets ), without me knowing about it!
