My Axolotl has columnaris and the tip of his tail has became very albino looking so I put him in a medicated bath in the fridge but im worried because I go on a 2 week camping trip on monday and I wont be able to do the medicated bath water change and add new medicine day after day, I was talking with other people that say that volumnaris can kill within 2 days if not treated, is their anyway I can keep him safe while im gone without having a caretaker( I can't find Nyone to do it and I vant take him camping with me) The guy I talked ro basically said I was screwed, does anyone know of anyway possible I can save him. I put pictures of the medicine and the wound.

Please Help, I love my Axie and I really want him to survive

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
