Hi can u leave axolotl eggs to hatch when your away for 7 days?

I don't know what day they will hatch (in the beginning or the end of the 7 days you're gone) but hatched axies need to be fed a couple of times (instead of the first day after they're hatched).

If they will hatch whilst you are away, fill their tank with daphnia , its not ideal but better than nothing. They should be ok if the tank is at a decent temperature .

You can always add smaller collected pond infusoria to the tank before you leave. Daphnia probably will be to big for recent hatchlings. All you will need a brine shrimp net and a pond, lake or swamp. to collect from.

Thanks for the replies , ive decided to buy the eggs when i come back to avoid the risk of losing them incase they hatch early....
