Illness/Sickness: Axolotl has red dots all over body and white stuff on gills

Recently I noticed my axolotl has small, red dots all over her body, and even on her stomach. She also has a small white fuzzy thing on one of her gills, I think this is a fungus. The gill that the white stuff is on also looks like it's slowly deteriorating. What is a safe and gentle method to get rid of this fungus on her gills, and are the red dots harmful??? I have tried to take off the fungus with a q tip, but it won't come off at all. The white fungus has also been slowly getting bigger.
