So, around the 5th of November last year, I got Roe. He was very small, and only upped to about 12 cm in 2 months, and onwards from that, he only grew to be the size of 15 cm long. He stopped growing maybe a couple months back, and he has never grown since. Like that stage between becoming a fully grown adult and, a juvenile that just grew his legs.

He is completely healthy in himself, I change 10% of the water every week, he has a balanced diet and the temperature is perfect. The tips of his toes are also black. His tank mate, Chub, another male, looks far more developed than Roe. He's maybe 2-3 cm longer, but his head is larger, legs longer, he's much younger etc. Any ideas on what the problem could be? I had a lot of conflicting advice from many people in his earlier stages, maybe something has affected his growth? Anything at all.

How big is the tank? Maybe a small tank has slowed their growth?

it's 1 metre long. the guy I got my third from was very good and knew everything, he keeps all sorts. He said that my size tank was fine, and that he has his one in an 80cm one and his lotl is much bigger than Roe

Doesn't sound like you are doing anything specifically "wrong" to me.

It could just be that he is a small lotl. Why are some men 5' and others 6'? Some are just taller than other's.
