Hi!

Strange thing happened this morning.I think one of my axies got a mini heart attack...?
It's not unusual that Lupa would suddenly swim everywhere in the tank (he probably sees some ghost from time to time)
But this morning, he did it again and went nuts in the whole tank ; bounced couple of times in the 2 other axies. At some point they were all bouncing everywhere....
Lupa got a cut on his tail and while I was focusing on him...I noticed that Spookie was not moving and his back legs where tensed toward the back.
I tried to give him a snack but he didnt move at all, then I tried to move him delicately with my hand....nothing.
After 5minutes, I tried to move him again and that is when he came back slowly and started to move his legs.

I believe he got very scared and got a mini heart attack (if that is even a thing with axolotls)
I am worried about him, did that happen to you guys?
Is there anything I can do??

it isn't unusual for an axolotl to play possum after doing a spritz around and dive bombing.

Oh I see!!
Poor thing.... He is now recovering, I will keep monitoring him but hopefully this was just a little accident.

Thank you! I feel less stressed now knowing that it's not an unusual behavior. Playing dead is never fun
