someone pls help. I uploaded a thread last week asking how to cure my axolotls fungus, I have been doing tea baths and giving him clean water everyday in his quarantine tub, the fungus fell off last night in the tea bath. But Iv woke up this morning and his gills look soo bad I have no clue what has happened
There looks to be fungus on the rest of his gills now, when before it was just a ball of fungus on one gill
Also his gills are bright red only some of them like blood, you can’t tell in these photos very much but I uploaded a few more on my other thread you can find !

pls help

what are your parameters? this could be caused by an ammonia spike
honestly it could be the fungus progressing and getting worse - if you’re confident enough i suggest a salt bath.
best wishes

Hi! I wish I could be more of help but I have not gone through a similar experience. How is he doing today?
one thing I would recommend is to test the pH of your water. Lower pH might be contributing to the continuation of the fungus and the creation of the fungus in general. Fungus can’t tolerate higher pH. Keep up the tea baths and try to keep the temperature colder. A salt bath can be tried if absolutely necessary but I would use as a last resort.
Sending all my support!!
