Hey everyone! I was raising up some axolotls for some friends before all this COVID-19 stuff happened and some of them moved back to other countries for the time being, and as a result I now have 5 juveniles that have no home! There’s 1 golden and 4 wild types, 1 of which is ~5 inches and all the others are ~2.5-3. I currently have 2 adult females and a male in my main tank and would love to trade someone either a few of these babies and the dad for another adult female or just sell the babies for $10 each. Willing to deliver in the Denver area!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
