I got a new axolotl about two months ago and since I brought him home he seems to be perfectly healthy, thriving even. When I got him he was missing his front right leg and it was kind of like a nub, but the nub has just become across the front of him and it even moves as he swims as if he’s trying to use his legs. I guess what I’m looking to know is, will his little leg break through the skin eventually or with he just have a giant wiggle nub??

hes currently hiding so I cannot get a picture but I will try when he comes out from hiding!

He should have his leg grow back. Most axolotls are able to recover from most things. Back when I first started, Moomoo bit off a chunk of Gummy's leg. It grew back completely within a month. I did have to separate them because they were different sizes and I was undereducated, but they're back together now, being happy little blobs.
