my axolotl( 8 cm) got some parasite and fungal ( I believe it was ictio ) problems and i put him in the fridge with a low salt concentration ( 4g/liter ). the parasite problems are gone but he isn't eating and vomits blood. i removed him from the salt solution and he's now on normal water. please help my little axolotl.

thanks.

If you kept him in the salt solution to long that maybe why it vomited blood. That can irritate the gills.

You're only meant to salt bath them for 10-15minutes.

Lower salt concentrations (4 g/l) can be used for longer periods, up to 72 hours according to the article. The article was written by someone with more experience than me, so I just have to trust that it's right. It's impossible to say if the vomiting was caused by the infection, or by the saltwater. I would say keep him in the fridge for a while longer, for observation.
