Hi!

I recently bought an Axolotl from an online breeder and ever since I got it (Last Wednesday), it hasn't been eating as much as it should, it is only eating a couple bloodworms a day but is still pooping normally. My temperature is around 65 degrees and all my water parameters are in good levels. Does it just not like the bloodworms and should I consider getting sinking pellets?

How it is doing now? How old is this axolotl? They can sometimes take a few days to settle in after arriving at a new home. Perhaps he's not used to eating non live foods. If he's over a couple inches you can try giving him small pieces of cut red wiggler or nightcrawler and see if he'll take them. You could try sinking pellets also if you'd like, it's just my personal preference to feed live worms over pellets but good quality pellets are just fine. Hope it's doing better. Be sure to contact the breeder with questions.
