That is exactly what I mean, especially if someone keeps their water on the full side.
I've never heard if that being an issue. It's not like screen is sharp or jagged. Also, although they sometimes do, axolotls rarely jump. Whatever you use it doesnt really matter as long as it provides a lot of ventilation and is secure. I just dont want new keepers thinking an easily found screen lid is dangerous, or thinking that a normal aquarium hood is adequate because it usually isn't.
