Hello there! I've had my two leucistic axolotls, Waddle and Dawdle, for the past year and a half. I got them when they were teensy little babies and now they're about seven or eight inches long. Waddle is eating every 3 days and is happy and healthy, but for the past week or so Dawdle isn't eating at all. I am feeding them frozen bloodworm cubes and usually they will eat 5-10 of them but he hasn't had one. I drop them in front of their face and they usually are excited and carnivorously hungry but lately Dawdle seems to be freaked out about his food and does barrel rolls freaking me out. I usually pick them up and put them in a tupperware for feeding but I have put him in his own 30 gallon tank for a few days to see if maybe the trauma is me picking him up, but he is still super scared when I give him food.

Anyone have a similar experience with this?? I love him so much and I can't understand what would be wrong with him since his brother is totally fine and in the same tank as him.

I'll move this to the axolotl section. Sounds like he just doesn't want to eat, for whatever reason.

Now that they are larger, you might want to graduate them to larger types of food, such as Rangen pellets or chopped earthworms.

Very odd.

Are you aware of cycling and do you check your water for Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, PH?

What is the temperature of the water?

Have you introduced anything new into your tank recently?

Can you post of images on your tank and Axolotl?

Fyi blood worm is not nutritionally complete, your Axolotls will be healthier on a more varied diet of worms, axolotl pellets and an occasional treat of blood worm, meal worm, or other variety's that are suitable for Axoltol.
