Hey people!

I have looked for information about this everywhere, and it seems like some people say it is normal and some say it is because of problems with the water quality.

So my question is, do axolotls shred? and is it normal?

My axolotl Wooper started getting some white patches with "dried" skin around her body yesterday. And today she is all back to normal, like nothing has happened. But I managed to take some pictures of her that I will show you  She acts all normal, and eats well.

When I saw it yesterday I freaked out and started testing my water, but nothing is wrong with it.

Yes axolotls shed, yes its normal however if the shed is visible something may be wrong. Some amphibian species slough complete skins or big bits of skin, axolotls shed small bits which you don't notice. Check your water quality and tank temp (what did you test for initially ? ), I can't see much wrong in the pics
