Hi everyone! I’m relatively new to axolotl care. My Yuuji has recently started showing signs of what I think looks like an inflamed or swollen cloaca. He’s around 8 months old so I know that this could be him maturing but I’m just nervous. Should I put him in a tea bath?

It doesn’t seem to be too out of the ordinary. Most male axolotls just have big cloaca’s. Keep doing what your doing and if he shows any signs of distress or pain, or any sort of change to his normal behaviour, do the tea bath thing, and if that doesn’t work, maybe contact me and we can work out a solution to this problem. I send all good wishes to Yuuji and I hope this comment was helpful. 😀
