Axolotls and Salamanders??

Hello people of the forum, I have two axolotls but dont have the means to buy annother one and I was wondering if there are any decent priced, fully aquatic salamanders/newts that can survive and thrive with axolotls.

No. We don't mix species here. Stick with the Axolotls, or pony up some dough at the pet store and setup another tank.

I agree with the previous statement. Mixing species is technically possible, but usually it causes more problems than it solves. There are many risks like disease, poisoning, and even inhabitants eating each other, as axolotls are big and bulky, especially compared to most salamanders and newts. Additionally, you are unlikely to find another salamander species as cheap as an axolotl.
