Hello! So, I have two axolotls currently sharing a tank that I was keeping divided with plastic mesh, and over the last two nights I have found the suction cups pushed off the glass and the divider floating at the top of the tank. My biggest concern is that one is still pretty small compared to the other and I don't want to come home to see one trying to eat the other. No incidents so far, but I don't have a lot of experience with keeping more than one of these guys so I feel like it's an accident waiting to happen. Does anyone have any advice on keeping these guys divided without having it broken down every day? I can't buy a second tank (too expensive and this one is already taking up a lot of space) and I don't have the ability to silicon a new piece of glass in the tank. Any ideas? Picture for size reference.

It sounds like maybe the suction cups aren't sticking to the glass properly maybe?
I'm not sure if if would work, but it might be helpful to prop some of your hides against each side of the divider, which may hold it in place even if the suction cups fail.
Do as much as you can to keep them separated as there is quite a size difference, even if they seem okay. My 2 were "fine" until one day the smaller was missing an arm haha
