I rescued 2 babies (2-3 inch, so I assume 2-3 months old) from a independent pet store in my area that was going out of business. They were emaciated and in a small room temperature tub with very dirty water.

They are currently tubbed separately in tap water treated with Scheam Prime. They have an air stone, a plant hide, plenty of live blackworms and the temps stay between 60-64 degrees Fahrenheit. I'm doing nightly 100% water changes.

My issue is they lost all their colors. In some of the Facebook groups I'm in people tell me it's normal for colors to change. Other groups say it could be a bacterial infection. I've researched and also considered that I actually have no idea what their hets actually are. They came from a pet store but the owner told me they didn't come from a reputable breeder. So I'm wondering if generics could be at play?

The color loss happened basically over night. They seem happy, their bellies look full and their gills seem to be getting fluffier.

I guess I'm just wondering if I should be getting some bacterial treatment meds for them?

These pictures are after 1 week.
Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated. I'm a first timer.
