Illness/Sickness: Bacterial Infection or Tumor? Help please.

Hello. I adopted my tiger salamander a while ago. I noticed a bump around his rear foot when I adopted him but thought it's nothing serious until it grew to what you see now. Please help me identify his problem and let me know if I can possibly treat it myself. I am tight in budget at the moment.

It looks like a tumor that will likely become infected if not treated by a vet. I'm sorry about that, but pets cost money.
