Balancers in NVV larvae

Just thought I'd share this closeup. Now that I know they're there, I'll be attempting to get a better shot of them. Of course the two larvae I have are not yet cooperating.

Closeups sure help with tank maintenance too! After this shot I went and cleaned all glass panes of the aquarium!

Very good shots of those balancers, ester! And that hydra looks menacing enough! I hope it left your newts alone.

It is an ex-hydra.. a dead hydra.. all of its seven heads have left this world.
