I have been looking to add more live plants to my tanks. A java moss/elodea filled tank just isn't doing it for me anymore. I went to the pet store today to pick up some tetras and browsed the plant tank. of course nothing was labeled because it was a large commercial store that doesn't know their stuff (I won't name names), but I saw something that looked like it might be anubias from the leaves it had. There were huge tuber roots that looked odd, but I decided to gamble and buy it anyway because I couldn't recall ever seeing the roots of anubias so they could very well look like that and it was cheap.
Turns out it isn't anubias at all but is Nymphoides aquatica. anyone have experience with this? what kind of light does it need? Would you suggest it for a fish tank or for a newt tank? Thanks.
