I am looking for recommendations for couriers to ship salamanders from the US to Canada. Anyone have experience doing this? I've got an import permit to bring the salamanders into Canada, just trying to figure out the best way to get them from point A to point B. Are there any couriers that don't require a stop-over at a domestic hub? Ideally would like to overnight these so that they're not in a box for too long...

TIA!

Contact Nelson at Reptile Runner he imports US to Canada. Is the permit the one issued by Environment and Climate Change Canada?
What species are you bringing in?

Yes, that's the permit we have. I've contacted pretty much every courier and it seems as though the permit needs to be held by the courier co. itself and not just the final recipient, so it's looking like I won't be able to ship these guys out, unfortunately!

you mean they need to apply for it? It would be sent in your name though. Have you spoken with Nelson at Reptile Runner? Home - Reptile Runner - Discounted Fedex Shipping Labels and Reptile Shipping Supplies
They have a non CITES shipment going out from the US to Canada on April 19th

I haven't been able to get a reply from anyone at Reptile Runner, but all other couriers have indicated that they need their own permits for the species being transported. Not really sure personally, but it's what I've been told.
