Question: Best Sand for Axolotls

Hi, I was wondering what the best sand for axolotls are, I have recently become obsessed with them and bought two. I currently have no substrate but would like to use sand, thank you for the help.

A fine playsand that you can get at a hardware store for cheap works if you rinse it really good, a fine aquarium sand or pool filter sand works as well, but aquarium sand can pricey

My name is allison too but I personally love the petco brand sand, I use black and it really barely needs any rinsing and it settled really quickly the water was barely cloudy (still rinse! but it didn't need much compared to some of the horror stories I hear)

Awesome and thank you, I did buy some sand from petsmart just to use temporarily, I really want brightly colored sand, because I will eventually have all colors of axolotl (hopefully) and I want them all to look nice against the sand.
