Black sand?

What kind should I use? TMS or black est.

I say 3m color quartz sand in the finest grade. I had problems with other brands creating to much phosphates ( so I was told ) which was creating annoying algae spikes.

Give me a night to search,... I knew a place that sells it cheap and has free shipping.

Just make sure you get the smallest grade. Lots of other colors to choose and they are in California also I think.

For a bag that size its well worth it after adding up the cost of those small bags of estes and others. I have to admit the prices did go up a bit. I think I paid 24 something when I got my bag for my Tanganyikan cichlid tank. Alot of aquarium hobbyists have been ordering from them so I am sure they saw the profit and decided to raise the prices
