Help! I have an albino axolotl I have raised since a baby. He is now about 8 inches long. He recently has not been able to keep food down and is now losing weight. He acts normal and he eats aggressively, but the food will be on the tank floor an hour later. When this started, I noticed a black spot (about 1/8 inch) on his side just behind his front leg. It seems to be getting bigger, now almost 1/4 inch. I don't know what this is, or if it is related to what is going on, but the timing is too coincidental. I don't think he is impacted because it is a bare bottom tank with minimal decorations. It is a well established tank and filter, 64 degrees. He east mostly shrimp and worms. Any idea what is happening? Any suggestions what to do going forward?
