Illness/Sickness: Black spots on her gills.

Hi there, I'm brand new to owning an axolotl. I've had Olivia for about a month and a half. In the last two weeks I've noticed black spots on her gills and now I'm worried it may be something more. She's eating just fine. The green bits in the picture is just alge on the tank. She has no green bits on her.

Those look like the markings some leucistics have. If you google on leucistic axolotl images, you will see some examples like that. Some are quite stunning. :)
 
Yes, that's normal colouring for a leucistic, nothing to worry about.
 
Your axolotl is adorable! Yes, those markings are normal. My Falkor has the same markings.
 
Thank you for the reassurance! I'm glad it's normal. I wonder what she's going to look like when she's all grown up! Thank you for the nice complements on Olivia! She's a super cute fatsolotl...I mean axolotl :happy:
