Black toes on golden?

Hi guys, I have noticed that my golden axie now has black fingertips! she never used to, are her fingers going to fall off? I have read other things on here that say this is normal but she never had this before! She's eating ok and everything and I'm changing the water (20%) twice a week. Any idea's?

Black finger tips are ok Donna. Albinos and leucistics do get black finger tips. It's a build up a chemical called keritnase (i think). It's often taken for a sign that the axie is reaching sexual maturity

what you are doing is fine!

Dont worry about her finger tips they are not going to fall off. This is a natural process, in which her toe tips go black when she is mature enough to breed.

How big is she?

Anyway good luck and keep her away from those men if u have any and dont want babies right now.
