This is a newt and salamander web site. It is also a site open to children (with their parents' permission if they are under 13 years old). In this context, a recent blog entry has highlighted a problem regarding what is and is not acceptable as blog content. We do tolerate blogging about personal off-topic issues, and indeed this seems to be what the majority of blog entries are about. I've never been terribly keen on these but most of it is harmless. However it's time to set one thing straight - if you are going to post about personal issues that are not "normal" topics for children to bump into, please set the "restrict access to contacts and moderators" flag on the entry page. This is to safeguard what children are and are not exposed to here. Remember, this is a newt and salamander web site and it's not within the remit of the site to influence someone else's child's personal view of the world outside of newts and salamanders.
