Hi everyone :)
The breeder that I bought my axies from was feeding 100% bloodworms so I bought a frozen pack of about 16 cubes. I recently read on here that most people use earthworms as their staple food.
Im just curious if it is ok that they are being fed only bloodworms? or should I do half and half? or nix the bloodworms all together? Theyre only about 3" long.
No problems that Ive been able to see so far (but Ive only had them for a few days lol)
(really happy I decided to cycle the tank first )
Any info would be helpful
Thanks

All the adult axolotls that i have seen which are exclusively fed blood worms are relatively small compared to those fed on earthworms. Blood worms are not a complete diet like earthworms. I do feed bloodworm to juvie axolotls but as part of a mixed diet, when they get to about four inches i tend to stop using them. Bloodworm also has the disadvantage of being small, a tank of juvie axolotls will pick most of the worms of the bottom, whilst an adult will only gulp at a pile of them , many of them may then be spread around the tank and need to be cleaned up or risk polluting the water.

Thank you for the reply :)
I havent read anywhere where it specifically said which is the BEST, now I know :)
