hello,

what are the dimensions ? height ? looks like a lot of empty space above the ground, height of 30 cm is just perfect according to me,

what do you use as substrat ? I recommand "turf" with dead leaves ( 10-15cm), "mole-salamanders" like to dig and hide !

You salamander is a beautiful "blotched" ( ssp melanostictum) ;-)

I suggest adding more substrate and am concerned about stacking the stones which may become dislodged and injure your tiger as it climbs about. I use a larger sloping shaped rock to gain access to the water dish and a second one inside the dish if I feel it may have trouble climbing out of the water. Fill us in with the specifics of your set up.

the tank is a 20 gallon tall, dont know the exact dimensions. and the gravel in the dish is to big to harm the tiger. for substrate i use eco earth which is coconut husk basically and where the moss is on the back the substrate is a little deeper for burrowing, i might add some more substrate. im thinking about upgrading to a 20 gallon long

Great setup, looks like a very healthy salamander. I would recomend making the soil deeper; at least 5 inches would be good. Given tiger salamanders the option to make deep burrows is really important. I give my 4 blotched tiger salamanders ~12 inches of soil in their 55gal setup and they burrow all the way to the bottom.

Looks like a great setup, deeper dirt would be better though. Other than that, it looks like you have one nice looking tiger there :)
