Bombina variegata in the US?

Hello all. I know that it is currently illegal to import bombina variegata into the States but is there currently a population or breeder(s) of this wonderful animal that were brought here before it became illegal? I have been looking online for them with no luck. They remind me of my years in Germany as a young child and would love some for my collection. Any help with my search is much appreciated. Thank You
