Bringing a pet salamander from USA to Canada

Does anyone know what is required to [legally] move a pet salamander from the USA to Canada? Has anyone out there done this before?

someone one a similar thread asked the same question about a bearded dragon....someone gave them this answer...On the Canadian side, for a personal pet? Nothing. Declare it and show your US paperwork.

Thanks guys! Its the issue of the US paperwork that I am mainly confused with. Is a vet certificate sufficient?
